岩崎龍二 作品展Ryuji Iwasaki Exhibition

岩崎さんの作品の最大の特徴は、絵画的ともいえる華やかで幻想的な色彩にあります。
釉薬の配合、窯で焼く際の数、詰め方、冷まし方など様々な条件によって、色の出方が変わりますが、
さらに思い描く色を求め研究を重ね至ったのが、岩崎さんオリジナルの釉薬使いです。
そしてその釉薬の美しさをもっとも表現できる形体を探索した結果、シンプルなフォルムへと行き着いているのです。
美しい色のグラデーションが洗練されたフォルムに映える、器たち。
それらは『使えるアート』と評され国内外で高い評価を得てきました。
最近ではシンプルでありながら、さらなる釉薬の流れや溜まりの美しさを魅せてくれる曲線を用いた花器など、大きな作品にも精力的に取り組まれています。

I will be holding a solo exhibition at Antiques & Gallery in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo, starting June 13th, 2026 (Saturday).

The most distinctive feature of Iwasaki's work is its vibrant and fantastical colors, which could even be described as painterly.
The resulting color varies depending on various factors such as the glaze composition, the number of pieces fired in the kiln, how they are packed, and how they are cooled.
However, Mr. Iwasaki's original glaze technique is the result of extensive research to achieve the exact color he envisioned.
And after searching for the form that best expresses the beauty of the glaze, they arrived at a simple form.
These vessels showcase beautiful color gradations against a refined form.
These works have been described as "usable art" and have received high praise both domestically and internationally.
Recently, she has been actively working on larger pieces, such as vases that are simple yet showcase the beauty of the glaze's flow and accumulation through the use of curves.
